Subject SeriesEternal Presence2014 Since the Renaissance, the Enlightenment has redefined the concept of "man." The humanities, born under this concept, reorganized the "order of things," forming the modern and contemporary knowledge structure. I place exaggerated and grotesque figurative human forms into ready-made furniture in the manner of the "order of things," creating a "cabinet of curiosities" as a prototype of a museum. This serves both as a critique of the spatial order of knowledge and an expression of the coercive power of the humanities to impose order on things. It also foreshadows the impending "death of man" and the unspeakable, eternal presence of the "metaphysics of presence" behind it.
